Clinical case
How to start "SMW Pro" and create the clinical case
1. Tap the "NEW CASE" button in main menu and fill out general information about your patient: name, age and diagnosis.

2. Tap "ADD SIMULATION" button, choose an anatomy icon of a target tissue of the eye, and fill out clinical data for each examination: anamnesis, images etc.

3. Tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button and create the visual symptoms of eye diseases based on real clinical data
Visual field loss
How to use the visual field loss brushes and how they works
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Customize the "GRID". Turn on the meridional and circular grids. You can also change the main grid with degrees, if you need.

3. Choose a "HARD BRUSH", located [brushes], and draw the visual field defects you need. You can use the real data of perimetry, just upload the picture by "IMPORT BACKGROUND" button, located [functions > layer settings].

4. Choose a "SOFT BRUSH" or "DEFOCUS" to soften the edges of defects.
Distortions
How to use the "distortion" brushes and how they works
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Choose one of "DISTORTIONS" brushes (finger, barrel, pincushion or torsion), located [brushes > distortions]

3. Customise size and intensity of the brush effect, and draw the visual defects you need.
Local blur
How to use the "local blur" brush to create a local defocus
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Choose one of "LOCAL BLUR" brush, located [brushes > defocus]

3. Customise size and intensity of the brush effect, and draw the visual defects you need.
Brush color
How to use the color picker
1. Tap "COLOR" button and change the level of saturation, brightness, and choose color you need.

2. Change "PALETTE". You can save the selected color in your profile and/or select a color from the list of most recently used (changes continuously).

3. Tap "PIPETTE" button and point the lens over area of interest to select a color on the workspace.
Eye floaters
How to use instruments to create realistic eye floaters
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Draw an eye floater and use the "PATH" workspace to drawing a motion trajectory, located [functions > dynamics]. Also you can change speed of the motion.

3. Use the "ACCELERATOR" panel to create a real dynamic effect (like vitreous body distraction for example) located [functions > dynamics]
Defocus
How to make the blurring effect like a defocus
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Use the "DEFOCUS" panel, located [functions > optics], and adjust the blur level.

3. Apply defocus effect to eye floaters for imitation of depth of focus. Draw eye floaters and customise the level of defocus for each of them.

4. Swap layers. The general blur layer (only blur) softness all underlying layers. Note: you can't draw on layer with general blur.
Astigmatism
How to make the effect like an astigmatism
1. Create a case, simulation and tap "DRAW SIMULATION" button to start.

2. Use The "ASTIGMATISM" panel, located [functions > optics].

3. Customise cylinder, axis, opacity and blur options, and make the realistic astigmatism effect you need. Note: you can create more than one astigmatism effects, but only on a new layers. Also you can apply the astigmatism effect on the layer with drawn visual field defects.
